Staircase art in the home to get you feeling inspired

Inspiration, Show me How

The launch of our new painted finishes range got us thinking about staircase art and all of the creative and innovative ways you can add the perfect finishing touch to your staircase. We love how staircase art can be used in so many different ways, both to make a statement and to tie a room together.

You don’t even need to be a dab hand with a paintbrush to customize your staircase (but if you are – go for it!) as you can use other materials such as tiles, fabrics and even wallpaper.

We put together a selection of our favourite themes.

Tiles

Bring a touch of the Moroccan souks to your home with patterned tiles. You can go traditional with intricate designs or for a more modern feel, opt for two tone colours and simple patterns.

Bold patterns

Make a statement with bold patterns. If you’re not entirely confident taking to this free-hand, not to worry, you can use stencils or even stickers for a sharp and vibrant payoff.

Vintage wallpaper

If you’re a fan of the shabby chic style, you just can’t beat a good floral pattern. Repurposed wallpaper is perfect for giving your staircase a vintage feel.

Bold lettering

You can learn a lot about a person from their staircase, especially when it’s covered in messages and lettering. Stencils and stamps are perfect for creating unique fonts. Or you can go for a truly customizable approach with chalkboard paint.

Painted finishes

Tie your interiors together with a painted finish. You can go bold or neutral to suit your taste, you can even go for an ombre or rainbow effect with a selection of colours.
